My Perspective on Wedding Photography

I have over 20 years of wedding photography experience and I draw on this experience to assist you in planning and enjoying your wedding.  Just think of it as a big party for two special people wearing very fancy clothes with a lot of friends and family around...see, it's not so difficult.  While I certainly want you to enjoy  your special day it is still very important that you, the wedding party and the families be organized, on time, and happy so I can provide you the highest quality memories.  My experience will help you achieve this.

You will have my undivided attention at your wedding as I only book a single wedding per day, regardless of size, and I personally do all the photography.

For the amount of money being invested in your wedding day I believe you deserve far more than 'snapshots'.  For this reason I go the extra step of bringing a complete "studio" to the wedding location to insure you have professional, studio quality, wedding portraits as well as wonderful  candids.  If your wedding location offers acceptable settings then those can certainly be used; however, so many wedding locations fail to offer really suitable photographic backgrounds.  This is particularly true when we are trying to take portraits before the ceremony with guests arriving or in the event of less than perfect weather (rain, wind, heat or cold).

My wedding photography sequence is generally organized the same, regardless of the size of the wedding party or location.  I  divide the photography into smaller sessions, some before and some after the ceremony, as well as on the way to and during the reception.  This reduces the time between the end of the ceremony and your arrival at the reception.  During your wedding day I do not believe in wasting the time you have to enjoy the event and be with your family and friends.  At the same time,  I do need your undivided attention for those portions of the day we have selected for photography in order to capture those precious memories.

I work very closely with you in the scheduling of your entire day, not just the photography.  By doing this I am not only assisting you but also helping myself.  If for whatever reason, you are having a very stressful day it will have a direct impact on your attitude, expressions, and posing during the photography sessions.  It is really very important that the timing of your day be realistic and achievable to avoid that stress.  I will help you with that.  The results of this will make the entire day more relaxing and enjoyable for the Bride, Groom, Wedding Party and the families.
